History will be created when Shri Rajan Zed, Hindu chaplain, will read Hindu prayer/blessing at the opening of the Colorado Senate

This is the first time any Hindu prayer will be delivered in the State Senate since its formation, according to reports. After first delivering in Sanskrit, Zed will then read the English translation of the prayer. Zed is planning to read from Vedas, Upanishads, and Bhagavad-Gita.

As a gesture of support, it is appreciated if you can attend this historic prayer

Hindu Family camp is fun filled stay over camping from HSS families and a great event and opportunity to meet all parents and stay together. This is unique way to learning staying together and building the community together in disciplined way of fun filled activities. We have been successfully organizing these camps for the past two years and this year, we are staying at a YMCA Santa Maria camp site near Baily, CO on highway 285. Activities include camp fire, games, Yoga, Hiking and very good lectures and discussions. We will meet on Friday evening and will be staying together until Sunday lunch time. Please mark your calendars for these dates and don’t miss this great event.

Navaratri lasts for nine nights with worship of Ma Durga, Ma Lakshmi, and Ma Saraswati. The nine nights of Durga Puja are celebrated from the first till the tenth day of the bright half of the lunar month in September/October. The nine-day puja culminates on the tenth day with a feast and a procession to the Rio Grande into which the Goddess is lovingly immersed.

September 30th, 2008,nightly through October 8th, celebrated each evening at 6 pm.

Neem Karoli Baba's Mahasamadhi was on September 11, 1973, the day before the full moon in September. We celebrate it on the nearest Saturday to the full moon. Beginning at 4 am, we sing 108 Hanuman Chalisas, followed by prasad and the Ram Lila, the theatrical reenactment of the deeds of Lord Ram, Sita, and Hanuman.

The Guru is honored on the full moon in July, when the moon is closest to the Earth, the time to worship God in form. It is celebrated with the singing, which begins at 4 am, followed by prasad.
